Description

Now, here's the lowdown on my TUFF persona, John Shepherd, the ninth member of Team Katswell.

As stated numerous times, John is a pseudo Jedi, wielding two lightsaber-like swords called "Beam Caliburs," and using two devices he created called "Force Gauntlets," which allow him to mimic using the Force to levitate things, and manipulate all forms of matter. He can also use the Force Choke, but only on Dudley whenever he misbehaves, screws something up on a mission, or does something he wasn't supposed to do, just like how Homer strangles Bart for misbehaving. And, just like Homer with Bart, John lets Dudley go when he gets the point.
His sneakers also act as mini-rockets, just like Kitty's skate boots from the first episode. However, only the left sneaker acts as a walkie-talkie that John can use to contact Kitty, the Chief, and the rest of TUFF, just like Maxwell Smart's shoe-phone. ;)

Now, the moment you've been waiting for, John's bio:
In the Team Katswell continuity, John Shepherd is Dudley Puppy's distant cousin, since Herman Puppy is their ancestor. Dudley and John actually live in the same house with Peg, Dudley's mom, and John's parents, Kathy and Joe. After graduating from high school, John was unsure of what to do with his life, and would often run errands while everyone else was out of town. Joe worked as the manager for a power plant near Petropolis, Kathy taught 8th grade US history at West Petropolis Middle School, Peg competes in monster truck rallies, and Dudley went to TUFF Academy to be just like Kitty Katswell.
But, upon hearing about Kitty and her reknowned legacy of keeping the balance of good and evil in check, John decided to join TUFF as well. He applied for an internship at TUFF HQ as Kitty's apprentice, but he never joined her on any missions after Jack Rabbit betrayed her. But, after Dudley officially joined TUFF, and Team Katswell was formed, John wanted to join as well, so he can showcase everything Kitty has taught him, as well as his own self-taught form of martial art of combining quick strikes with quick thinking. Kitty let him onto the team, and she and John hit it off pretty well, despite Dudley's jealousy of their relationship.
Aside from caring about Kitty Katswell when no one else would, John is often loudmouthed, but well-spoken. He would often act without thinking, but is very passionate about his career as a TUFF agent. Like Kitty, John takes his job seriously, but knows when to have fun every once in a while. Also, if you mention food to him, he'll start salvivating, and start growling continuously until he gets the food.
He's also a bit of a geek, playing video games in his spare time, collecting action figures, and posting blogs on TUFF, its agents, and the criminals they fight. However, Kitty's okay with this as it teaches the younger generation the history of the agency and its actions.
As for his relationships to the rest of the Team, as stated before, John acts like Dudley's father, keeping him in line, rewarding him for doing good and punishing him for being bad. He also sees Allison and Kimiko as his sisters, Niles and Elvis as his crazy uncles, and Jake and Stan as his brothers. But, it's his relationship with Kitty that's the most intriquing. Unlike Dudley who basically treats Kitty like crap, John actually treats Kitty like an equal, and is often the first to stand up for her whenever she gets mistreated. Despite having arguements with her, John and Kitty usually patch things up, and forgive one another. Also, his relationship with Kitty often makes Dudley jealous since he's got a crush on her, which results in a pretty fun (albiet strange) love triangle between the three.

Proposed voice actor: James Arnold Taylor (Ratchet from the "Ratchet & Clank" series, and Obi-Wan Kenobi from "Star Wars: The Clone Wars")
